Chrome Extension Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how the Nova Content — AI Creative Tools Chrome extension ("the extension") handles your information. The extension is a companion to your Nova Content account and routes all AI processing through Nova Content's secure servers.

What we collect

Account session token. When you are signed in to Nova Content in your browser, the extension reads your existing session token so it can make authenticated requests on your behalf. It is stored only in your browser's local extension storage.
Images and text you act on. When you choose a tool (remove background, upscale, generate caption), the relevant image URL or text you selected is sent to our servers to perform that single operation.
Preferences. Your extension settings (default platform, API URL, toggles) are stored locally in your browser.

What we do NOT do

We do not sell or rent your data.
We do not store API keys in the extension — all AI work runs on our authenticated server endpoints.
We do not track your browsing history, and we do not read page content except the specific image or text you explicitly act on.
We do not use your content for advertising.

How your data is used

Content you submit is used solely to perform the AI operation you requested and to deduct the corresponding credits from your account. Generated results are returned to your browser. We may retain a record of generations on your account so you can view history in your dashboard, consistent with the main Nova Content Privacy Policy.

Permissions we request

The extension requests the minimum permissions required:

Host access is limited to Nova Content domains (for reading your session) and to the image you act on. We do not inject content into unrelated sites beyond the optional helper UI.

Data retention & deletion

The session token and preferences live in your browser and are removed when you log out via the extension settings or uninstall the extension. To delete account-side data, manage your account at your dashboard or contact us.

Third-party processors

To deliver AI features we use trusted processors (e.g. model providers for image and text generation) strictly to fulfill your request. They do not receive your account credentials.
